As a Procurement Operations Intern, you will support global clients across multiple countries, manage procurement requests, and coordinate with clients and suppliers to ensure smooth purchasing and delivery operations.
🎯 Roles & Responsibilities
As an IBM Procurement Specialist Intern, your responsibilities will include:
Reviewing and validating procurement requisition requirements
Identifying non-catalog purchases and directing them to catalog solutions
Coordinating with clients/requesters to gather additional information
Sourcing suppliers using the approved master file
Negotiating cost savings and commercial terms (where applicable)
Handling low-value purchase orders and services
Confirming pricing, delivery timelines, and PO receipts
Ensuring customer and stakeholder satisfaction
Managing new supplier setup requests and documentation
Interfacing with suppliers on payment and invoice-related issues
Maintaining supplier documentation and audit readiness
Resolving blocked invoices and urgent procurement requests
Expediting emergency orders and tracking deliveries
Supporting special projects assigned by team leads
🎓 Education Qualification
Required Qualification:
Master’s Degree (MBA / PGDM / Postgraduate – relevant disciplines preferred)
