About the Role
IBM is strengthening its next-generation digital sales workforce as it continues to drive innovation in cloud, automation, and enterprise technology. As a Digital Sales Specialist Intern, you will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment focused on helping clients solve complex business challenges through IBM’s digital products and services.
This role offers hands-on exposure to modern sales approaches, client engagement, and digital solution knowledge. You’ll be part of a high-performing team where learning, creativity, and co-creation with clients are at the core of daily work.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and execution of effective digital sales strategies aligned with business goals.
Generate leads through digital platforms including social media, email marketing, online ads, and SEO activities.
Interact with potential clients to understand their technical needs and recommend suitable digital solutions.
Manage leads and opportunities through CRM tools, maintaining an active sales pipeline.
Build a strong understanding of IBM’s digital offerings across software, platforms, and services.
Maintain relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Prepare proposals, handle objections, negotiate terms, and assist in closing customer deals.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and support teams to ensure smooth execution of sales activities.
Evaluate performance data and recommend improvements to optimize digital sales outcomes.
Continuously develop skills through training, research, and exposure to industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a STEM MBA program, graduating in 2027 or later.
Strong interest in technology with a willingness to explore tools, platforms, and digital solutions.
1–2 years of experience in software sales or customer-focused roles involving digital transformation.
Preferred Background
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.Tech/B.E) combined with an MBA.
